If you are a BetterUp for Individuals member, your subscription has just ended, or is ending very soon.
I want to say something that nobody else is saying right now: this is not a failure. And it is not the end.
You made a decision most people never make. You chose to invest in yourself, out of your own pocket, without waiting for HR or your company or anyone else to hand you an opportunity. You paid good money, month after month, to grow. That took courage, and it says everything about who you are.
What you built during that time — the insight, the self-awareness, the relationship with your coach — belongs to you. A platform closing does not take that away.
But here is what I know from working with women like you.
BetterUp was excellent at giving you a container. A structure. Regular sessions where you could think clearly and be held accountable. What it was less good at — because no subscription platform is designed for this — was helping you integrate those insights into who you actually are once the call ends.
There is a difference between being coached and being transformed. Coaching gives you clarity in the session. Transformation is what happens between sessions: what you do when it is hard, when nobody is watching, when your old patterns come knocking.
That gap is what I built my work around. My method is called MY TIME, and it has six steps. The first three are the honest ones, where you meet yourself where you actually are, find a reason big enough to hold the change, and take ownership of it. Most people never finish those three. The last three are where it holds.
I work with women who have done the work — workshops, retreats, coaches, courses — and still arrive back at the same wall. Not because they lack effort or intelligence. Because integration is a skill, and nobody taught them.
If the end of your BetterUp subscription feels like a disruption, I completely understand. But consider another frame: maybe this is the moment you stop renting access to your growth and start owning it.
If you are curious what that looks like, I would love to talk. :)
The Honest Conversation
Twenty minutes. No pitch. A direct look at where you actually are and what is genuinely getting in the way — whether or not we end up working together.
Not ready for a conversation yet? I am writing a short book on exactly this — why coaching, retreats and courses so rarely produce change that lasts, and what actually does. Leave your email and I will send it to you when it is ready.
